First Sneak Peeks Into J.J. Abrams’ ‘Undercovers’

Boris Kodjoe and Gugu Mbatha-Raw star as the Blooms, married couple and former spies who are thrust back into action when one of their colleague goes MIA. Steven (Kodjoe) and Samantha (Mbatha-Raw) realize that this supercharged, undercover lifestyle provides the excitement and romance that their marriage has been missing.

The pilot is directed by Abrams, his first return to the position since doing “Lost”. NBC puts the drama on Wednesdays at 8/7c before the two “Law & Order” franchises.

First Look at Elizabeth Banks in ‘The Hunger Games’

New on-set photos from “The Hunger Games” have leaked online. Fangirltastic has got its hand on the images, one of which offers the first look at Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket. Other actors seen on the pictures are Josh Hutcherson and Willow Shields. Meanwhile, other images show some buildings, including the Hall of Justice.

An adaptation from Suzanne Collins’ novel, “The Hunger Games” follows 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen who lives with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, in the apocalyptic America. When her sister is chosen by lottery to participate in a fight-to-the-death annual event called the Hunger Games, Everdeen steps up to go in her place.

Josh stars as Peeta Mellark, Katniss’ companion to enter the Hunger Games competition, while Willow portrays Katniss’ younger sister Primrose. Jennifer Lawrence is cast to take the main character, with Gary Ross directing. The film itself will open in theaters across the United States on March 23, 2012.
